They are getting big. This past week we finished up the Neuro Stimulation exercises, all did fine. The kids and I still put them on their backs and tickle their toes everyday. They have had their nails cut twice already and do not seem to mind. I know the nails sometimes can be a big deal in the future so i try to play with their toes a lot.
I have ordered and received their weaning food. This will be started on Sunday when they turn 3 weeks old. I will put some pictures up that I have taken over the last 3 days and 3 wk pics will try to get taken tomorrow. ( I have a birthday party going on for my son but will do my best to fit them in)

The pups have their eyes open and have started to notice when I go to the whelping box, they all start heading to me. They walk if you can call the wobbles walking. They sit up and have started to play with eachother. They have started to go potty on their own. I think it is time to add the door on the whelping box as they have started to hang their heads over the edge when I am at the box.
My son, Noah yesterday said that he would trade one of our dogs if we could keep Leira, funny, he usually likes the boy puppies!! Ok, here we go with the puppies names. Ára means aura/breeze Kylja (ky-la) means gust, cold breeze Leira means clay, palomino Boi (bow-ee) means boy Kolli (kol-lee) means strange head coloring Kalla means hello, shout, call The olny name I'm not 100% sure about is Boi, I may change it or not. 2 weeks pictures will go up tomorrow. The puppies eyes are starting to open and they are starting to get up on all 4's.

Today Meyla has finally started to leave the whelping box more. Over the past 5 days she has hardly left the box at all.
Today I had a little scare with one of the girl puppies, I picked her up and noticed that she sounded crackly with her breathing. With her being so tiny I decided to take her into the after hours vet clinic. The vet thinks that maybe she inhaled some milk wrong and that is causing the crackles. He said it just needs to clear up on its own and sent me home with some antibiotics for a few days, just to make sure an infection doesn't set in. Phewww, I was scared there for a while. I will keep you updated on her progress. She is eating and gaining weight well so hopefully it will clear up in a few days. The puppies are doing well, they are all gaining weight nicely. Meyla is being a wonderful mother, she hardly leaves the whelping box.
Yesterday I started the Neuro-stimulation exercises. They have had 2 days of it and are reacting pretty good. There is usually one in the bunch that has more of a reaction then the others.
