Gemma went into labor on Tuesday night with digging. nesting and panting. Wednesday she continued with labor and delivered her first puppy at 3:06pm. Gemma had 7 puppies in about 3 hours, she's a pro! Gemma and the puppies are all doing well. Puppy 1, Girl, 8.5oz wheaton/red, double dews Puppy 2 Boy, 10oz red, double dews Puppy 3 Boy. 8.1oz very dark, tiny white on head, double dews Puppy 4 Girl, 7.8oz wheaton/red, one double dew and one single dew Puppy 5 Boy, 9.3oz very dark, double dews Puppy 6 Girl, 7.6oz red, double dews Puppy 7 Girl, 9.6oz very dark, double dews I decided to have Elly spayed so she is done with breeding! Elly turns 8 in June and it was time to be done. I usually like my girls spayed before 7. |
