The puppies have been going to their new homes over the past 2 weeks. For Meyla's litter we are down to Kambur and Braeda. Braeda is staying for a couple more weeks and Kambur, I'm not sure what I am going to do with him. Kambur has great bone, he is a big boy and he moves like a dream. I'm thinking I might hang onto him for a couple months and see what happens. I am also willing to place him in a home where he would be kept intact for a few years.
Tira is in her new home in Colorado settling into her puppy agility training. Surtur is in his home in Wisconsin with his half sister, Lola(Tri-Star Lilla). He is going to have lots of fun on his Farm. Loa went to her home in Minnesota she is enjoying her new family. Kambur will be leaving for his new home in Ohio next week. Braeda will be off to her new home in Minnesota in 10 days. Sma's puppies turned eight weeks old last week and have started to leave. Avaldi was the first to leave last Sunday. He is in his new home in New York. Soti will be leaving for his new home in Michigan on Friday. Fina will be going to her new home next Tuesday, she is going to live in West Virginia. Sindri will go to his new home in Ohio in the next few weeks. Jord is heading to her new home in Massachusetts On Friday. . Right now there are six puppies left, I'm actually down to the usual one litter size. It has been a lot of fun with the two litters at the same time and it has been a lot of work. With the age differance of 12 days between the two litters it made things harder in the beginning keeping the two litters separated. Sma was a very protective mom and didn't want any other dogs near her litter for the first 2-3 weeks. Once Sma's puppies were a little older I could then put both litters together. I have decided that I really do not like having a summer litter. The puppies don't like to play outside when it is hot, and we have had a hot summer. In the summer I worry about the puppies being exposed to harmful things, such as parvo. Mike isn't going to be very happy when he sees how all the puppies like to dig holes in the grass. Looks like I will be the one fixing that before we get ready to sell the house.
